Every year, during the month of November, tens of thousands of people across the world begin the process of attempting to write a novel in the space of a month. Last year I decided it would be more of an incentive for me to keep going if I committed publicly to posting my writing online each day of the contest. So, at the beginning of November we start with zero words, and at the end of the month we should have considerably more. Remember, the idea is to write words, not to re-write, polish, clean up, or edit what you write. The editing will happen after November. You can see postings for the 2002 and 2003 contests, and chapter heading for 2004 and 2005, by clicking on the links below. 2002 NaNoWriMo: Into Each Life (39,255 words) 2003 NaNoWriMo: If A Butterfly (53,105 words) 2004 NaNoWriMo: Four Lives of Franklin Roosevelt Jones, chapter headings only.
