This section is called Other Writing, because I first began posting writing on this site as part of the NaNoWriMo contest, in November 2002. Since the things that will be linked from this page are not part of NaNoWriMo, they are (by definition) other. At any rate, I will, from time to time, place samples of writing here. They may be short stories, novel excerpts, or just snippets of stuff. First Snippet -- Muggles and Murphy. A short story (currently unfinished). Written between February 1st and February 15th, 2003, as part of a challenge from the houstonwriters group to write a complete short story based on a few words chosen from an extended list we were creating at our forum website. My three words were nurse, suck, and hump. Obviously, I could have gone in a number of directions with a set of words like that. I chose camels. (925 words) Second Snippet -- Dick and Jane do Washington. An excerpt from my NaNo 2003 novel, If a Butterfly. This was done for an Anti-Valentine's Day Pr0n-off contest our writers group created. It had to involve men in skirts, pirates, or women with hairy pits, had to include something of an erotic nature, had to take place in February. Screenplay -- An Ordinary Day. I entered this script in the third Project Greenlight contest in February 2004. This is a slightly reworked version of that screenplay. The link is to a .pdf file.
